WHAT:  24th Annual Dempsey / Gray Memorial Ride benefitting the City of Hope Cancer Research Fund of Southern California. 

WHEN:  Thurs May 4th - Sat May 6th, 2023

WHERE:  Ensenada, Baja California.

RIDE INFO:  The Annual Dempsey / Gray Memorial Ride starts and ends in Ensenada. Spread the word and let’s have our biggest ride yet!  All proceeds of your entry fee and raffle proceeds are donated to the City of Hope Cancer Research Fund. Established for our late friends Gene Dempsey, Ron Gray, and many more since their passing. All funds donated are matched by a 3M grant program which is all donated to the City of Hope Cancer Research Fund http://www.cityofhope.org/home.  Last year we raffled, auctioned, and gave away over $10,000.00 IN PRIZES. Through last year, the ride has donated over $240,000 to this very important life-saving organization. Our goal is to meet or exceed the previous year's donations and get over the $250,000 milestone!!! Please spread the word, invite friends, and let’s make it happen!!

 

INCLUSIONS: Snacks & refreshments @ gas stops, basic pit support, and fuel transportation during the ride. Banquet dinner includes ride T-shirt.  

EXCLUSIONS:  Standard entry does not include hotel room(s) in Ensenada.  

Ride Cost:   

Pre-Entry Deadline:  $450.00 per rider

Itinerary:

Thursday May 4th:

  • 5pm - 9pm: Rider check-in, Las Palmas Hotel, Ensenada MX.

Friday May 5th:

  • 7am: Depart and drive from Las Palmas to Acambaro for Riders Meeting & Breakfast. Unload at Acambaro.
  • 8am-7pm: Ride to San Quintin hotel Old Mill 
  • 7pm: Dinner

Saturday May 6

  • 7am: Breakfast & Riders Meeting.
  • 8am: Ride back to Acambaro. Load up and Drive back to Las Palmas.

What to Bring:

Bike: Well-maintained 4-stroke motorcycle, preferred, with headlight. 

Tubes: Install heavy-duty tubes with stop leak, bring spares.

Tires: Install new heavy-duty tires. 

Tools: Bring tools, cash, and snacks in fanny pack or backpack for trail-side repairs. 

Gas Tank: Large gas tank with minimum 75-mile range. Bring 5 gallons of gas (fill in MEX). 

Hydration: Bring large Camel Back style system. 

Sprockets: We recommend fresh sprockets geared up one tooth in front. 

Chain: We recommend a fresh O-ring chain. 

Personal: Passport/driver’s license/ID, bike/truck registration and Mexican insurance.    

 

What NOT to Bring:

Do not bring drugs, ammo, or fire arms!!!!!
